Thanks, MG!
No, I don’t have a separate blog for the music part of my life. I guess I just find it difficult to find the time to sit down and write until the opera season is over.
I do write often about the parallels between professional athletes and professional musicians simply because I have always had a fascination with both. I take particular pride in being part of an outstanding and well-respected “team”, and enjoy seeing athletes coming together as one to get a win, make the playoffs, and–dare we hope?–win the World Series.
Regarding the subject about which we both posted, it seems the downward spiral continues: we have K-Rod back, but Ramon Martinez has some injury or hurt and Jose says he’s not going to be able to play tomorrow night. Ugh.
In spite of it all, they’re doing well with what they have, right?!
lol. This is hilarious! by the way, I love the little insights your blog gives me into your met opera life. you don’t have a separate blog about that, do you? if so, i’d love to read it
